Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (E-DEI) are fundamental principles in creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment. This program aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills to promote E-DEI in their classrooms. By understanding and implementing E-DEI practices, educators can create a more equitable and inclusive learning experience for all students.
The primary goal of the DEI in Education program is to introduce educators to the principles and practices of DEI. Participants will learn how to identify and address inequities, foster a diverse and inclusive classroom culture, and implement strategies that support all students’ academic and personal growth.
  • Understand E-DEI Concepts: Gain a thorough understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion and their importance in education.
  • Promote Inclusive Practices: Learn practical strategies for creating an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Address Inequities: Develop skills to identify and address inequities in educational settings.
  • Foster Cultural Competence: Enhance cultural competence and incorporate culturally responsive teaching practices.
  • Evaluate and Adapt E-DEI Practices: Use feedback and data to assess the effectiveness of E-DEI practices and make necessary adjustments.

Course Language

  • English
  • Note: Participants must have at least a CEFR level B2 knowledge of English in order to be able to participate actively.

Target Groups

  • The DEI in Education program is designed for primary and secondary school teachers, school counselors, curriculum developers, and school administrators. A minimum of B2 (Upper-Intermediate) English proficiency is required.

Methods & Tools

  • Lectures, interactive workshops, group discussions, hands-on sessions, practical implementations, and examples of best practices.
